Hanky Pankies....
ARE AMAZING!!! If you still haven't gone out and gotten yourself a pair since this brand came (or more like exploded) into the limelight for their comfy undies, you, my dear, (and your posterior end) are surely missing out.
At $18 a pop, these seem a bit overpriced for just a bit of lace, right? Well, I can
guarantee that you won't find this kind of quality and comfort at a big mass-production chain store like Victoria's Secret.Offered in one-size-fits-all stretchy lace, Hanky Panky's thong has been rated "most comfortable" by women everywhere. And even better, the newest eco-friendly addition to the line replaced yucky pesticide-grown cotton materials for organic cotton.
And here's a great place (with a great offer) to buy them!
Get $10 off orders of $75 or more at cheapundies.com using code UNDIES10!! Ends 9/30/09!!!

Bags for College: Ditch the Gross Backpack
Girls who carry their books in backpacks are gross. If you are one of these girls, and you spend time worrying about what to wear to class every day, I'll tell you right now you shouldn't even bother. The backpack will, despite your efforts, make you look like the nerd whose first priority are her books.
Now, I don't care if academics are your first priority at college, but no one wants to look like your books matter more than your style--and no one who wears a backpack has style.
The alternative, then, is a bag suitable for carrying your books and serving as a daily bag for class.
My qualifications for such a bag:
Longchamp Le Pliage Large Tote Bag (19"W X 13"H X 7½"D) Retail $145
This tote is very popular and common on campus. Its a pretty low-cost (good deals at $100 on Amazon) and comes in a large variety of colors.
Foley + Corinna Mid City Tote 17"W x 17"H x 3"D (10"H when folded) Retail $444 OR City Tote 19"W x 20"H x 5"D (12"H when folded) Retail $485
This bag is also very popular and created a lot of hype when it first came out. The bag can still fit books while folded, and can be unfolded to hold a whole lot more!!! Also, you can choose from glazed leather or the supple original leather in a variety of colors (the glazed leather stretches and gets water stains easier). I LOVE this bag. It's also pretty easy to find a good deal on this bag for around $250 on Amazon.

The alternative, then, is a bag suitable for carrying your books and serving as a daily bag for class.
My qualifications for such a bag:
- at LEAST 17" (width) x 12" (height) x 3" (depth) - this will fit any notebook or textbook, and even a small laptop
- strong, durable handle that can support the weight of books - this means you want strong stitching and a thick strap
- side pockets - I've found that side pockets are extremely necessary so as to not lose my phone, keys, pencils, etc. under my books. Its a pain in the ass to have to take out all my books just to find my keys.
- versatility - can be used outside of class; does it look weird (flat or too slouchy) when its not stuffed with books and random shit?
- price - you probably don't want to be carrying books in a $500+ bag every day to class.
- weight - go for more lightweight options with not too much heavy thick leather or hardware

Ray Ban Wayfarers are an ICON when it comes to sunglasses. Ever since these frames graced the face of Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's in 1961 and of Tom Cruise in Risky Business in 1983, they've become the most identifiable pair of glasses to date.
Twenty-five years later, these classic frames are hitting college campuses with a new shady, cool style. There's no doubt that the college generation is loving this new comeback of the Wayfarer after years of negligence. Since 2008 Ray-ban has offered the style in a rainbow of colors in their Colorize line along with their classic option of black frames and polarized lenses.

As this reemergence indicates, classic is timeless.

Blaring criticisms to come
I will admit, after graduating at the [very] top of my class at my local high school located in the town of a major state university, coming into the more snooty high-hat society of a top-20 private university was overwhelming in its novelty in culture, and most upsettingly, in fashion.
No girl in college ever wants to step outside unaware that what she is wearing is fugly!! Your body in college is the BEST it will EVER be. Accordingly, your fashion sense in college should take advantage of your amazing body, since this is the time where we can pull off being fashion-forward, edgy, and risk-taking with what we wear.
These days there's a void for downright direct bitchy criticism for the horrible clothes that girls bring out into daylight on campus. Yeah, there's tons of magazines and elitist wealthy women who love to tell us what new styles are hitting the runway this season, but there's a disconnect between these women--who apparently are already making a living for themselves--and girls like me, who spend what their parents give them in order to afford going-out-worthy outfits for all the festive nights at college (which, frankly, amounts to a large majority).
Being fashionable in college, especially at the more elite, private universities, means looking like the girls who are there by family legacy and "admission tickets" handed out by their $30,000/year private high schools. These girls are the girls who can afford the latest Tory Burch bags and collections of Frye boots. Unfortunately, this also means that looking like you got admission into your private school by maintaining a 4.0 throughout high school just is not going to cut it.
It seems, by now, I've collected some expert and applicable fashion sense to get by in appearing as if I'm made of money and belong in high society. And this is how all of us want to look; especially while we're in college when our main focus is only to get fucked up and look good doing it. Check out future posts for money-saving online promo deals from Zappos, Couture Candy, SkinStore, and MORE!! And keep checking back for my look at college fashion trends through the eyes of the more under-privileged--but yet fashion-conscious--girl on campus.
